Energy Lines in Thai Yoga Massage

Nadi, derived from the Sanskrit language, is a term that refers to channels or pathways. In the practices of Ayurveda and yoga, it is believed that Nadis are invisible channels through which prana, the life force, flows. Any disruptions or blockages in these channels can result in physical discomfort, pain, or disease. The concept of prana is known by different names in various cultures, such as Chi or Qi in traditional Chinese medicine, Lom or wind energy in Thai massage, Reiki in Japanese healing therapy, and bio or magnetic energy in modern science.

According to yogic and Ayurvedic medicine, the human body has 72,000 energy lines in thai massage that invisibly transmit sensations and interconnect with each other. In the practice of Traditional Thai massage, ten major nadis, known as Sib Sen, are utilized to treat patients. Interestingly, all these nadis originate from the abdominal cavity, which is considered the place where life begins. It is crucial for Prana to flow smoothly through these Sen Sib channels to maintain good health, and any blockages in these channels can result in illness or poor health.
